Stonebrae Elementary School is a Kindergarten to 6th-grade school and was founded in 2006 with state-of-the-art classrooms and premium sports facilities. Students enjoy expansive soccer and softball fields, a multi-purpose gymnasium and gardens that promote outdoor learning in sciences.
Currently, the school serves around 764 students with around 76 teachers and supporting staff. In addition to the 20 English only classes, the school also provides an English/Mandarin dual language immersion program with 11 classes ranged from K-6. In 2012, the DLI program was rated the Family Favorite in 2012 for the Best of the Best by Bay Area Parent.
Technology is considered important at Stonebrae. All classrooms have wireless internet, and all students have access to chrome books. The library/media center is high-tech as well and is equipped with wireless laptops that can be checked out for classroom use.
Mission
To provide an academic foundation for all Stonebrae students and create a positive learning experience in a way that motivates and encourages creativity in students to realize their potential so that they are well prepared to meet the challenges of the future.
